Involvement Volunteers International Dear Lauren
It is a perfect journey. I book the volunteer activity which is my first volunteer experience.
Highlights of the trip:
I worked in the childrens home, a orphanage in nadi, with other 3 volunteers. At that time, it is the school holiday and 20 kids stay here all day. They are very cute and happy every day. Nearly there are 4 housemothers every day and they take good care of these kids. All day schedule include playing time, studying time, snack time, TV time, shower time and sports time, whichi is same as a great kindergarten. They are lucky to have many nice mother. Fiji is a fantastic place for travel. At weekend, Jess and me went to mala mala island. Clear sea and enjoyable weather! Lovely experience. I will recommend it to my friends.
Comments on the team, food and accommodation:
I lived in homestay house in Lautoka. Masi and Mary are the hosts and they have a big family. Every night they would cook dinner for us. It was so so so delicious. BBQ, chicken curry and fried noodles, every dinner was severd as different meals. They all were very nice.
